setup an industrial base in their empire, pay their pesants the bare minimum you can get away with to have them make goods for you that are non-essential to them. then sell them all the essentials they need that they cant or are no longer producing.
but dont make the mistake of trying to sell their own goods back to them like the British did with American furniture or Oriantal opium. THAT kind of **** backfires BIGTIME.
