That will teach you with scrapping your Repair trait is bad.
That seems the most likely option here, but I am not sure on the exact specifics for Spaceyard repair (it's been a while since I have used retrofits, but I think 80% gives 4 component repaired a turn at a SY, and 79% or less only gives 3). Also check your culture, as some of them have a penalty to Repair, such as Berserkers.
