This is a question of getting used to a new interface. We considered adding a message there but lots of people don't like having to press Y and N every time they do something and then they complain about that. If you play for awhile you'll get used to it. Just remember EXIT means what it says and DONE means you move to the next step. If you read the messages that appear in the red box at the top there are very explicit warnings about pressing EXIT. I put the EXIT button down away from all the others just so things like this wouldn't happen
