Well if you want a poison that would likely be undetected, but would not be a very nice thing to be poisoned with, Thallium is for you. Here's the rundown of Thallium poisoning:
Poisoning due to ingestion of thallium compounds. Characteristics - vomiting, alopecia, neurologic and psychic symptoms, (ataxia, restlessness, delirium, hallucinations, semicoma, blindness), liver and kidney damage. Thallium is commonly found in ant, rat, and roach poisons. Symptoms usually begin approximately 3 weeks after poisoning. Usual course - acute; progressive.
Since thallium is not a usual poisoning, and symptoms don't start until 3 weeks after ingestion, it'd be tough to figure out where the source of the poisoning was, or possibly even what the poison was! Hey, you said you wanted a post on drugs and poisons! Drugs I'm not sure of, but poisons...
