While we were on the subject of crafting spells, what does the almighty GM think of the following?
Elemental Blast
Evocation
Level: Sor/Wiz 5
Components: V, S, M
Casting Time: 1 Standard action
Range: Medium (100 ft. + 10 ft./level)
Area: 20-ft.-radius spread
Duration: Instantaneous
Saving Throw: Reflex half
Spell Resistance: Yes
This spell functions like
Fireball , with every creature in the area of effect taking 1d6 points of random damage (acid, electricity, fire, sonic) per caster level (15d6 max).
Material component:
A small glass prism worth 15 gp that is consumed in the casting.
How reasonable is that for a level 5 spell? perhaps more of an MC cost?
