Hmmm. Never really thought of it that way. My experience with the Eye was: ok giving someone one Eye of Aiming improves aiming... so I will give him two!! Which immediately blinded my best battlemage
So I've always thought of them as sort of like laser rangefingers instead of actual eyes. Great for targeting, bad for seeing.
