Well, for the "what can I do" part, the only thing you can really do is what you've already done, contact the game admin. The problem is, once an empire has been declared dead like yours has, I don't think there's any way to bring it back and have a player take it over. So unfortunate as it may be, I think you may be out of luck. Sorry
I know it sucks to invest so much time in something, then have it all for nothing. But think of it this way; you had fun while it lasted, didn't you?
