Looking up the changelog, it sounds like trillian 3.1 is doing better.
Not in the slightest, unfortunately. They added one or two IRC commands, but thats about all that improved...
It may be bloated, but at least it is not evil yet.
I disagree. I liked Trillian so much that I bought Pro. Then it took 11 months for the next update, 3.0. Then my 1 year subscription expired just before 3.1 came out...
Trillian 2 was a great middle ground. Looked nice, but wasn't overly fancy, and got the job done without a lot of useless whiz-bang crap.
Alas, it will be dead the next time diabolical AOL or Yahoo change their connection protocols to try to kill 3rd party clients, again. This is why people should start using Jabber...
