Final Fantasy Tactics for the playstation was my favorite, but I grew up with the Dragon Warrior series for the NES. My 4 year old was playing the original the other day,She wasn't doing too bad for not being able to read yet.
Might and Magic VI I thought was a good game. I play adom at work every once in a while, but I was never a big fan of "die and start from the begining" type. Breath of Fire: Dragon Quarter had an interesting save system though, but I haven't gone far into that game yet. I'll have to give Ragnarok a try, I'm always up for a new RPG, there just arent enough good ones out there.
