True Strike applies to one attack per casting; yeah, the Great Cleave trick is probably valid, but only good for clearing mooks; and at 6th, a stright-classed Sorceror can fireball them all for 6d6 damage (average 21 points of damage) while the Barbarian's attack does 2d6+14 (Also average 21). Granted, the Fireball can't crit, but then again, the Great Cleave can miss, fail to drop an opponent (and thus end the attack chain) while the Fireball simply hits everyone in the area. It's even at that level - but one more level, and the Sorceror is dealing 7d6 (avg 24.5) with a Fireball, while the Barbarian's Great Cleave trick is doing 2d6+16 (average 23).
