Re: OT: What\'s your job/career??
I own and operate a small alarm company in the Los Angeles area. I got into the business on alarm systems and cameras and gates and such, but I'm currently spinning it more toward Home Theater, Distributed Audio, Home Automation and Systems Integration.
High school education and 5 years in the Marine Corps. Got into this stuff when a guy at my church needed an extra set of hands and hired me green. Learned by OJT. Now I gross nearly 100k/yr. and have my own business. Life has its quirks.
