). The earlier writing system was called Serati and developed by Rumíl of Valinor (Isle of Teleri?) and was a vertical writing system. Only snippets of it exist for writing examples. The other two scripts developed by Tolkien for use outside "elf-dom" were Angerth and Cirth, and were used by Dwarves and Eastern Men.
