Doesn't that sound strange? I think we all heard over and over again in recent years that it was the most
unsafe aircraft developped in the recent decades?
So was it all about media lobbyism? The crash record and death toll seems all too real though.
I guess the glass-half-full version of it is tht it
was the momst unreliable aircraft around, but it has therefore been tested so thorougly that it has attained security levels never demanded to any conventional plane or helo!
The other solution being another bout of internal propaganda / wishful talking from the USMC...
