Magots is a cheap nature spell which does constant damage to undead... my guess is it's like decay but only for undead. Personally I almost never see this spell used.
Petrify is definitely one of the best.
.... and why just spells... why not an ethereal crossbow?
also disintegrate is a nasty death spell.
