I never played "Siege" (that BF1942 mod again) on-line, so I don't know how fights worked there, but it seemed interesting enough. Swords, halberds, shields you could block with, morning starts, even lances you could run people down with when on a horse
. I think armour maybe played a role, too.
I'm writing a manual for the mod I want to make, maybe I could post it here. It'll have to wait until my own PC's repaired, though (graphics card is broken). It's purely an idea-gathering thing for myself, the project isn't even started yet (it's way out there anyway as BF2142 isn't even out).
