This is definitely not my first program.

I have uploaded a new version that will compress repeated levels of a tech area into a single research entry. Thus, if you have:

Ships 1
Ships 2
Ships 3
Physics 1
Ships 4

The research file will contain entries for:

Ships 3
Physics 1
Ships 4
