It could possibly be an issue with how the fleet names are generated. SEIV tries to create a name that is not already in use, and goes through part of the Greek alphabet to enumerate... I don't recall the exact progression, and am not near my SEIV computer at the moment, but it goes something like Alpha, Beta, Delta, Epsilon, Gamma, Kappa (alphabetical for us, but out-of-order for Greek
). Then it does Alpha Alpha, Alpha Beta, etc. I haven't seen it go beyond two greek letters, but have seen two greek letters with two spaces between instead of one. Could be that if you use default names, you run into problems when it tries to generate the next default with three letters, but only two end up being generated, and you have a duplicate. Crash (and burn).
