I apologize in advance if this problem has been posted before and I have made an attempt to search for it but haven't found anything.

I have made a new map, locked the sides and set side 1 to advance. I set the objectives first using side 2. I want Side 2 to remain in their start positions on the right side until contact. As soon as the game starts they begin moving towards the left side of the screen. Also, when I place them on the map they are facing towards the right just like Side One.

I've read the online manual and I've tried:

Making sure the Nationalities were set before designing the map.

Locking the sides.

Setting Waypoints.

Nothing helps. What am I doing wrong? Any help would be appreciated.
