Hey Sorlakind, we're strangely close - I'm 36, French, not exactly a mathematician but close enough (technically my research is computer science, but it's combinatorics and probability most of the time, so heh), and I do have very fond memories of my trusty ZX Spectrum, including Elite and Lords of Midnight (don't know what Heavy on the magic was, though).
