They are inanimate objects, so forging or even speaking would be impossible, so they possess people to do it.
I understand that, but they can't use the 'forge' command anyways.
Ah, well. It would've been a pretty cool take on gameplay if you automatically got an 'avatar' unit as your prophet. Perhaps she'd spread dominion faster than others. Ah well, thanks for the answers!
