Maybe. But SOTS really isn't that good of a game (IMHO).
Outside of the pretty combat there is very little to do. Where the Space Empires games are about as complex a game as I've ever found, SOTS is so simple I suspect my mum wouldn't take more than a week to learn it well (that's damn quick for her!
).
I'll be interested to see Sins of a solar empire and compare it with the other offerings in the 4x realm this year.
Come to think of it. - Four 4x games in one year (gc2, se5, SOTS, now this) is a LOT. I suspect the average is less than 1. Enjoy them while you can folks, the sequals won't be out for years yet.
