Leliwa, Poland
Moving across the Prosna river in force the troops of IR20 and IR41 led the advance of 10. Infanterie-Division against delaying efforts by Polish troops, a mix of militia, snipers and regular troops – ironically these forces came mostly from the Polish 10th Infantry Division.
At the villages of Leliwa and Huta Klonowka II and III Battalions of IR41 came up against stiff resistance…, the villages would not be taken without hard fighting… |
