Yeah, I know, it's not supposed to be analyzed...But when a formerly-dynamic leader turns into an idiot, a formerly-cute character turns into a poster-child for male abuse, and I don't really mind the elvis thing too much, but why is it that Every Single Aliens Species in the whole galaxy cannot solve the simpliest of mysteries without Human Intervention!

I agree the series went downhill quickly after the 2nd book, you may have noticed that Asprin adopted a Co-author at that point, and I personally suspect that Asprin had very little to do with it at that point as well, since there was quite a difference in the way charaters were presented, and even the way the company itself was refered too. Was pretty disappointed with it by then. BUT, the first 2 books are easily two of my all time favorites
