If you intend to use your computer to game, then you're going to need a duel boot OS anyway, because trying to get games to run under Linux with Wine or whatever is an exercise in machoism.
If that's the case, you have to ask yourself what you can do with Linux that you can't do with Windows to justify the Linux learning curve.
