I played the demo back in the dim dark pre-shipping period. I only got around to ordering mine a few weeks ago, and still haven't had a chance to play it.
So part of me is a bit disappointed about that there is a new Version before I've even gotten the old one up.
The other side is that it's not like we're talking a major investment here. Furthermore it's not really Shrapnel's fault I've only just ordered it. Lastly it's not like the Version won't work now SEIV Gold is on the way. So I'm no worse off, I just may be missing out on some of the new cool things.
Given that the main reason I delayed ordering SEIV for so long was I was waiting until I had a big pile of games to save on shipping. I figure I can order SEIV Gold for the next round.
At the end of the day I tend to regard paying for games from the indie developers as being something akin to rent. If the small shops fold up what's left? RTS and FPS galore. Urgh.
