I live in Maine and we have our share of cold and snow (not as much as BC of course) and that always makes me laugh as well when southern states are crippled by just a few flakes.

The thing we have to remember is that they're lucky if they have 2 snowplows in the whole state. They just don't know what to do with it and people especially don't know how to drive in it down there.

I can remember being in Fort Jackson SC in 1980 and getting 2 inches. The governer proclaimed a state-of-emergency.
