I haven't been there in several years. I miss Gulf Shores, Mardi Gras, seeing the Battleship by the causeway, what a great city!
You are probably familiar with the areas I grew up in...
When I was very young I lived on Azalea Rd which connects to Airport Blvd. Later we moved out to the country just on the other side of Semmes/Big Creek Lake in an area called Wilmer. (Close to HWY 98)
If I went back, I imagine I would not even recognize the place. Everytime I go there it is like the City spreads farther and farther out, swallowing all the pretty scenery and spitting out gas stations and shopping centers.
