My name is also Rob and I am a 36 year old Engineer living in Ottawa, Canada. I have been lurking around here since the Dom II days, after learning about this game from Gandalf and others on the comp.sys.ibm.pc.games.strategic group. I tried the demo (II) a few times and was intrigued but kept getting overwhelmed with all of the options and lack of a manual to allow me to see the big picture. Real life prevented me from investing the time required to really get into it and I forgot about it for a while.

Then I heard that Dom III was released. Again, I became intrigued with the Demo and all of the AARs (great stuff!) that were posted. This time, I went ahead and bought the game. I've been crushing the AI (sort of), studying the manual, and neglecting my family, ever since.

I plan to venture out into the MP arena soon where I will leave a trail of dead pretenders in my wake! Ok, maybe not, but indulge me! As soon as my first game starts, I don't expect to be able to boast again for a very long time :-)
