Dear,

I have just added a new unit to a german OOB (Coastal Fort with big Naval gun) in an unused unit slot with the mobhack oob editor but this new unit does not appear if I generate a battle or have a look into the Enzyklopedia.

On the other hand if I change the unit data of e.g. a coastal fort (e.g. other gun)the change will be accepted.

Any hint what I'm making wrong ?

Thanks and Regards

1) Have you actually committed the changes, so it is stored in the OOB file in RAM memory (F12, or the red tick mark icon on the tool bar). See the Mobhack Help file - "Tool Bar Buttons & Menu Items", Save Button item.

2) If you have done stage 1 - then you still need to save the modified OOB to disk, of course. (File/save menu or the load/save tabin Mobhack)

3) If you have made yourself a brand-new unit with a new unit class of it's own and have actually saved (points 1 and 2), then you may well need a new formation that has that unit class as a template unit. Otherwise there is no way to purchase your new unit class (other than the campaign upgrade screen). See Formations Help tab help section.

Of course if you have made a "naval fort" with any of the naval unit class types then you likely have a problem, since they only are intended for the assaulting player in a beach assault battle, and not the defending player.

Andy
