You can't.
There are a few pre-defined types, and outside those you can't go.
Ships- can warp, can move, can't stack
Bases- can't warp, can't move, can't stack
Fighters- can't warp, can move, can stack
Sats- can't warp, can't move, can stack
Also, if it can't stack it can't be carried as cargo, and vice versa. Cargo units can not carry cargo themselves- no minelayer sats.
