I freely admit my nation is one of the more powerful in the game at the moment, but I think it's being put above other threats simply because globals are so visible. In a game without graphs, casting globals is really sticking your neck out, it's one of the only easy ways you can tell when someone is doing well. But just because other (possibly more prudent) nations haven't cast them doesn't mean they are not also doing extremely well.

We of Mictlan assess Helheim as the most powerful nation in the world, and we do not make this assessment by global spells alone. For one, we look at research. With Conjuration 9 (based on reports of Helheim having Tartarians) and Construction 8+ it seems clear that Helheim's research is well beyond that of other nations. In addition, based on our scouting (which is admittedly incomplete), Helheim is much larger than Mictlan, at least. From what we have seen Ulm is rather large, but it appears that Ulm's territory is less secure, being surrounded on all sides.
In short, we encourage all nations to recognize Helheim for the threat that it is. The globals are dangerous in and of themselves, but there is plenty of evidence that these globals are only the beginning of the threat that is Helheim. It is also worth mentioning that globals are easily brought down when multiple nations distribute the cost.
