You also get gems from 59 other nations, though.
That's why I suggested wraparound: Nobody can cuddle up in his corner, everybody has other players around him everywhere.
Another suggestion I'd make to prevent people from abandoning the game: Maybe make this a team game?
And last but not least: 60 nations isn't the limit, you can get 80 nations into a game...
