Just stick the 36x36 pixel minis in a long (big#)x36 image, side by side.
Name the portraits so that they match the minis:
count from 1 to 9999 going across like you are reading an (english) book.
All I really need is a nice package of minis, and the ability to tell which protrait goes with which mini, without opening the files all the time

PS: there seems to be a continuous stream of 20-30 hits per day, so you shouldn't run outta transfer. Especially now that I've got two other links to take some load.
As long as my current FTP site dosen't eat up 100's of megs in a day, I won't catch any flak.
I'll be setting up a second with unlimited transfer soon (friday if things go smoothly), with nobody to complain about it except my younger siblings
