I love immortal gods, what I find is the best strategy with a phoenix, is to get at least 3+ earth, lots and lots of fire 8+ and maybe some astral 3+ what you do is then Invulnerability, Body ethereal and Fire shield if ya want, but it's not necessary, then cast FireStrom, thats the one that turns the whole battlefield into an inferno right? Then with the rest make it cast that other high level fire spell, not he battle field effect, Flamestorm, or the such, having somthing like that! defending your capital! unless your facing abysians, on the break siege if you win, it's all good anyway, if you lose, the enemy force will be crippled, and! your commander will die, lose any remaining fire gems, so your friends in your capital won't be hit by the battlefield effect spell cause you can't cast it will no gems!
