Well you have to understand that George Lucas considered his movies, especially PM, AOTC, and ROTS to be serious dramatical family friendly movies. So when he calls Spider Man silly, well then, it must really really be one silly *** movie.
Just look at the dialog in AOTC's and then think about George Lucas calling another movie silly.
And ya, George please explain Jar Jar!
