Default Graphics Issues

My appoligies if this has been hashed and rehashed.

I have a new Laptop with an Intel 945 GU/GM Chipset for graphics. It does support Open GL but has no dedicated Video RAM. The machine does have 1Gb of system RAM though.

I am running Windows VISTA and have upgraded to the latest video drivers for the Chipset.

Unfortunately when I start Dom 3 from the Please Wait screen...the landscape background partially loads and I don't even have access to the menu to change the game graphics.

If I shut EVERYTHING running in the background I can get the background to fully load but still no access to the menu (but the music plays nicely).

Does anyone know what the Open GL settings need to be (I can adjust these prior to loading the game).

Or am I simply screwed because Microsoft thinks VISTA is SOOOOO Coool!
