It's also very useful for locating e.g. the province an event takes place in. Print out a reverse directory for your map (such as this
http://students.cs.byu.edu/~mdw45/Glory.idx for Glory of the Gods multiplayer) and when a site is discovered in e.g. "Blessed Butte," hit "#" and type 248 and voila! there's your site. No more scanning through the nation-list trying to find the correct province.
