. I always install new games to this folder and NEVER to their default location. Makes life so much easier.
If all else fails, have them do a general search of the entire hard drive with the "Search->For Files and Folders" tool. In 95/98/XP it can be found in the start menu, not sure about default Vista setups.
Speaking as an XP user, but I have helped my ex with her Vista laptop. The first thing that I did to it was make it look and act as much like XP as I could.
