they needed more space warfare. The old series had continuous fighting against the cylons. This one sort of turned into a soap opera. Space battles make the show. Not who dunnit, who is it and so on. IMHO,, they could have had more space battles that would have helped the ratings.. oh well, who ever said the producers were fan smart...
