My better half is an obsessive/compulsive neat freak, whereas I am a gatherer (sounds good, doesn't it). I faced these types of situations after getting married. I'm not the type to have moved into marriage, but this lady was amazing... she cooks almost every meal, frequently cleans the house, great athletic shape(runs marathons), low level of mood swings(RARE), playful, innocent, degree with bright career, financially wise(savings w/ no debts), and the list goes on... anyways back to point.
I own 5 PC systems and more on the way. I tie the systems into the type of work I do which is also computer related. What may also work for you is say those systems are antiques and will be worth lots of money in the future, but you'll need to make sure they keep working.
