If you really need the attack sprite, I agree with you. However if you just need the standing sprite, screen capping can be very quick. And if you're going to modify the sprite quite a bit, then having the attack sprite isn't totally useful.

But I'll probably use both methods when I do the Empire or something with human graphics.
