Thanks everyone and thanks for the game.
I had a really good starting position up in the north, northeast which meant I could not be surrounded early on. If I had been further south it may have been a very different game.
Man going AI so early helped me out alot as well. The AI's attacks on Ryleh, Pangaea and Midgard (I assume) where just like having an ally in the west.
Also Abysia and Jomon going to war with each another well I defeated Ulm/Marignon helped.
A good bit of luck but you also after have the skill to take advantage of it...

The army of the nation of Pangaea simply refuses toadmit defeat. And they make a stand and prepare to push back the armies of Ermor. But then the armies of man shoot them in the back.

Does this mean your playing on Pangaea or are you accepting your fate as a zombie?
Not a bad life being a zombie, all the brains you can munch and no worries or cares ever again...

*cough*
Abysia attacked me the turn after agreeing to a 3 turn NAP without any notice (obviously). Seeing Emor growing larger and larger on our border, I offered him a second chance to ally with me against him as I knew even if I defeated Abysia I would have no chance against Emor as we would both be weakened. Again he agreed, and then 2 turns later betrayed that agreement.
Then later he asked if I wished to join in an alliance against Emor, but by that time I was already setting myself to AI so that I could sub for Lingchin.
I, for one, will never trust Hako again. He did a great job of throwing the game to Meglobob.
