Re: Bug.
I checked again, and I'm glad I did, because I've never seen The Admiral's Sword before!
Here's a description of the battle:
Belos the Abysian Slayer is on the left. Herminafrid the Ulmish Warrior Chief is on the right. It is spring, but for some reason both warriors have bedecked themselves in fall colors. To show his contempt for his intended victim, Belos is casually smoking. This pisses off Herminafrid immensely, so he charges forth. But really Below was just trying to hide his limp.
Belos hobbles forward a little more. Herminafrid dashes up and swings his sword, which turns out to be a rare artifact, The Admiral's Sword. But he's not used to fighting limping, smoking assassins, and misjudges the blow. Belos has a chance! He stabs with his daggers, but both blows glance off of Herminafrid's hauberk.
With one more mighty swing, Herminafrid chops Below in twain with a blow that could have slain a man three times as large.

He had committed— would still have committed, even if he had never set pen to paper— the essential crime that contained all others in itself. Thoughtcrime, they called it. Thoughtcrime was not a thing that could be concealed forever.
