Yes, Midgard is in a big war with Atlantis and Man. We in Atlantis attacked Midgard because we were alarmed that they had quickly gobbled up Utgard and were moving swiftly against Abysia. If all goes well in this war against Midgard, Man will have 3 VP's, and Atlantis will have 2. That's not quite so alarming.
In terms of complaining, I think that's just fine! I like to complain, too. I cite my first squeal-fest when Boron smushed me:
