The acute poisoning didn't show up in my battle replay. As far as I saw, he was around at the end of one fight (including not counting as dead in the summary) and gone at the beginning of the next. Stranger things have happened, though, it's true.
Wraithlord has played a politically very savvy game (and not too shabby militarily, either...
) - I don't begrudge him his theft of my tenuous shot at victory at all...
