There are many reasons to recruit Teachers:

- they are the only national priests;
- they lower unrest and got patrol bonus;
- they are heavily armored for casters which makes them good battlemages;
- they provide astral magic at the beginning of the game;
- they can summon ships without going to Construction school first.
