I don't think we were bored, although this is a bit Detail-less and short compared to some others... No offense
And if this is based on a true game, What do you mean by Terraforming Mars by only 4 turns?
TerranC: None taken
This is based on an actual game I'm playing. I wanted to take the actual events of said game and add some backstory and flesh to the bones of what has happened to me so far. I used a few story devices to rationalize some of the odd things that wouldn't otherwise fit in with Earth as we know it. I started with an additional earthlike planet in my home system. As we all know, that's not the case here in our system. However, NASA has some long term plans to terraform Mars so I just worked that into the story as a plausible starting point for the saga. Same with the warp points and the ruins on the moon of Neptune. The moon circled a blue gas planet that looked a heck of a lot like Neptune. And Neptune has one icy moon (I think), and so it seemed a logical choice.
It's short and there isn't a lot of detail on the story just yet because I've only just chronicled the first 3 years of play (which is as far as I've gotten) and I haven't had any real conflicts yet. I could have detailed all the facilities I built and why but most of you guys know about all those kinds of choices already anyway. Conflict and battles yes (that be the good stuff, 'ar 'ar). I just haven't gotten there yet. I'm sure the XiChung will not disappoint me. Especially since I'm playing the TDM Gold Mod.
So, until then I'm trying to fit it all into a logical story framework that accounts for some of the cultural, political, miliary and scientific conflicts that would surely ensue from such wild expansion and first contact with a race of bug eyed aliens.
It's a bit different approach from some other stories here and you can blame it on a (long ago) background in creative writing, I guess.
I was going to keep going with the story but I was just afraid that I'd bored everyone to tears with it all.
