Default Re: Manatee - EA newbie game (started)

So how's it going everyone? I've only had diplomatic talks with my neighbors and am curious to hear what the rest of the world has experienced.

My poor cold blooded lizards are freezing their butts off in cold-3 niefel provinces hopeing in vain for a decisive battle against the giants. It may not be not the greatest idea I ever had, but it will be interesting none the less.

It's been a great war between him and I, started when I thought he overexpanded too fast into independent provinces close to my capitol. Figuring that he thought me for an easy target, I decided to attack him early. My initial armies were no match for his blessed jarls, but found that spamming skeletons did a decent job on them.

It was at a stalemate when tien chi offered to attack him on another front. I thought this a good move and it surely helped me gain the upper hand on the giants. But tien chi's creative diplomacy had proved his undoing when he decided to plan with ulm to divide my lands between them. Fortunately for me, Ulm has been a friendly and honest tribe, he informed me of this and attacked tien chi. I then negotiated for a cease fire with the giants and we were all going to punish the eastern threat. The chinese leader, knowing that he had maybe planned one too many backstabs, left his army in control of the AI, which promptly flooded ulm with his armies.

In a possibly poor decision, I decided that if tien chi is AI and sending all he has towards ulm, I'd better not let niefel gobble up tien chi's provinces. So I gave him 3 turns to defend himself and now we are where we are at. I'm besieging his capitol, but I can't compete with his jarls underwater currently, so I'm cut off from many of his presumably gold and gem rich provinces. It's been fun and stasifying(probably because I've got the upper hand) and hopefully the next few turns will decide our fate in an equally intriguing manner.

I hope you all have had equally fun experiences and I'd love to hear some stories.
