Can anyone suggest any way forward on this problem? A critical mage has disappeared. I have used F1 to check and she is gone. Further, there was no battle in the province in question. Nor was she mind hunted, arrowed or earth attacked. In fact, I have a message stating that she successfully cast GOR and I have the unit which GOR was cast one. There is no message stating she died of disease. I have used GOR in test games and the caster does not disappear. In this one, she is just gone.

I have talked to the other players in the game and no one takes credit for the kill. They are as mystified as me. I have gotten odd results before and was wondering if anyone had a suggestion of what might have happened.
