I bet that (assuming that it does not make sense to be so code wise), like many minor things,that nobody has touched them since SP2 days simply because there were more urgent things at hands.
For example I have been modding the iraqi OOB since before the war broke out. Yet honestly I still haven't got down to check whether the SU-7 has the same unit size of the TU-16.
